Position: Quality Assurance Associate- Medical Device Complaint Specialist

Job Summary:

We currently have an opening within the Quality Assurance department, for a Quality Assurance Associate to join our growing and well-established company. This position is responsible for assuring compliance to the overall quality and regulatory requirements pertaining to the complaint handling process for all products and services offered to SciCan customers.

This position will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all complaint reports in order to ensure compliance to national and international regulatory requirements and quality system expectations
  • Maintain practices that allow for effective receipt, documentation, and dispersal of all customer complaint reports for investigation and corrective action.
  • Monitor, maintain, update and arrange the closure of existing complaint files as investigative and corrective action reports are received
  • Provide verbal or written feedback to the customer and other involved parties (i.e. sales reps) regarding investigative action and results
  • Provide monthly complaint trending and status reports to designated departments including QA, Marketing, Sales, R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Management when required.
  • Monitor and immediately forward to the Director, Regulatory Affairs all incoming complaints which may be of an “adverse incident” nature.

Requirements:

  • A college diploma or a degree recognized as equivalent by a Canadian university, in a related field
    OR
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment preferably with technology related products.
  • Previous experience with ISO 13485.
  • Technical background will be an asset.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in groups as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
  • Advanced computer skills: MS Office, & ERP system experience.

Position: Quality Engineer (Tiger Team)

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for vendor's quality communication in respect to components quality, in the scope of a product improvement task force.The holder of this position will be also responsible for the approval of Validation and Verification programs in the scope of the above task force.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the verification and validation aspects of product improvement and provide support in test planning.
  • Review and approve test plans and protocols (software and hardware).

  • Lead root cause analysis investigations of nonconforming materials/products and determine disposition.
  • Assist task force department to plan and carry out product development.

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in manufacturing environment preferably with Medical device technology related products.
  • Extensive familiarity with Quality Management Standard preferably in ISO 13485.
  • Internal auditing and risk management experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in groups as well as independently with minimal supervision.

Position: Product Manager – Medical

Job Summary:

The Product Manager – Medical is responsible for managing marketing activities for SciCan Medical product portfolio. Product lines include plasma sterilizers, Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AERs), endoscope pre-cleaning and storage solutions and heat sealers along with various related products and accessories. This position works in close relationship with MarCom, Territory Managers and Senior Management to ensure the successful introduction of products and oversees major projects involving capital equipment installations in hospitals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets
  • Work in close relationship with MarCom to ensure the successful market introduction of products. This includes literature, print and electronic advertising, trade shows, website, training content and special events.
  • Responsible for the development of proposals, bids and other documents describing SciCan Medical products in response to RFPs
  • Responsible for the planning, management and coordination of SciCan's equipment installations in healthcare facilities
  • Support our Sales Team on a day to day basis (customers’ requests, quotes, product information, and presentations)
  • Responsible for providing our Sales Team with the necessary technical expertise on products in collaboration with the technical specialist
  • Develop and maintain deep understanding of customer needs as they relate to our business segments and link to our technology, characteristics and capabilities
  • Seek and analyze competitors’ marketing and sales materials
  • Obtain and disseminate competitive information and product updates
  • Coordinate the response to product quality complaints with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Promote SciCan Medical products in front of customers through presentations, tradeshows, meetings and customer visits
  • Work with outside labs, chemicals/equipment manufacturers and RA to conduct product validation studies
  • Record, organize and disseminate knowledge acquired on different projects to raise the team expertise

  • Assist Senior Management in developing the Marketing and Medical Division budget

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Degree-level professional with a marketing track record, ideally within the healthcare and/or medical devices sector
  • Minimum 3 years of experience required
  • Customer-focused, outgoing, problem solver with the ability to work independently and provide leadership to the sales organization
  • Project management experience and skills
  • Excel, word, PowerPoint proficiency required. AS400, Nectari would be a plus.
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Bilingual English/French is required
  • Driver's license and current passport required (travel: 20%)

Position: Web Platform Developer

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Digital Group Leader, the Web platform Developer will perform one or more of the following:

  • Development of all server-side logic, definition, maintenance, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Creates, maintains documentation of all related projects for websites, application and other.
  • Maintains local development environments as needed for application testing and prototyping prior to implementation. Performs unit and end-to-end testing of all applications developed and enhancements to systems.
  • Ensures backup and recovery procedures are in place.
  • Optimization of the applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Proactive involvement in research and propose use of new technologies, concepts, tools and processes.
  • Implementation of security data protection
  • Develop and/or maintain software documentation.

Required Qualifications:

To meet the challenges of this role, you must:

  • Have a computer science degree program or related studies or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of professional programming experience implementing complex web applications.
  • Implementation or architect role on at least three core projects.
  • Experience in containerization small/large-scale ( e.g Docker )
  • Have proficient understanding and programming experience in Linux/ /PHP/MySQL/NoSQL/Symfony
  • Have proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environment.
  • Have understanding and programming experience in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Data migration, transformation, and scripting.
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Have experience of code versioning tools (Git)
  • Have some experience with AWS platform,Pearl ,Ansible.
