Position: Logistics Process Personnel

Job Summary:

We currently have an opening within the Technical Service and Warehouse team, for a Logistics Process Personnel to join our growing, and well established company. This position is responsible for implementing control processes between shipping and the technical service by following SOP’s. The successful candidate’s responsibilities include the efficient and accurate flow of repairs and credits through the system, transporting, receiving, decontamination, stocking, and shipping duties. 

This position will report to the Technical Service Manager and the Warehouse Manager.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Transporting, receiving and stocking of product to and from Shipping and Tech Service
  • Decontamination of product, area tidiness and SOP protocol follow through

Requirements:

  • Tech or College diploma or equivalent experience & skills
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Experience in troubleshooting customer needs

Position: Field Service Technician (Quebec)

Job Summary:

We currently have an opening within the Technical Service team for a Field Service Technician based in Quebec, servicing our diverse product spectrum to join our growing, and well established company. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing SciCan Medical and Dental products, and providing technical support to the users, dealers and distributors of SciCan’s products.

This position will report to the Technical Service Manager.

Major Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • To repair and evaluate SciCan products
  • To prepare quotations and estimates to customers

Requirements: Education and Experience

  • Diploma / Degree from a recognized school  in Electronics Technology / Bio Medical Eng
  • CET technical certificate an asset
  • Bilingual, French and English
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A high attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and to build both internal and external relationships
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
  • Experience in the use of all associated test equipment, including multimeters
  • Soldering skills
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office

Position: Bench/Field Service Technician

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing SciCan Medical and Dental products, and providing technical support to the users, dealers and distributors of SciCan’s products.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all SciCan equipment in accordance with the assignments of the Technical Service Manager
  • Document the service provided, including cycle faults, defects, corrective measures taken, spare parts used, in SciCan’s Management Information System
  • Provide telephone support to the distributors and end users of SciCan’s products
  • Be willing to learn new products and cross train effectively  within the department
  • Thoroughly study all product materials, including Operator’s and Service Manuals, bulletins, instructions etc and adhere to them when performing service on SciCan’s products
  • Build strong relationships with SciCan’s customers, to address their concerns with the TSM and to help resolve conflict
  • Comply with SciCan’s policies and procedures

Requirements:

Position: Inventory Control / Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Reporting To: Warehouse Manager
 

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control /Shipping and Receiving Clerk ensures seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming shipments. You will understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing items. Inventory management and vendor relations with shipping companies are essential functions for this position.

The other primary responsibilities include utilizing knowledge of inventory cycles to manage and control client inventory levels, communicate and coordinate incoming and outgoing orders with relevant stakeholders. In addition, you will be responsible for development of inventory control issues, policies and procedures for ensuring the availability of all necessary materials required and ensuring adequate inventory levels for requirements.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking
  • Prepare and schedule shipments as assigned
  • Schedule daily transportation needs with different carriers/couriers
  • Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries
  • Place received goods in their designated racks or areas immediately upon their arrival
  • Load trucks with customer orders; unload all incoming shipments
  • Interact with various personnel both internal and external, to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Pick and pack orders, receiving, stocking, and inventory organization

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • College Diploma in Business, Finance or Supply Chain Management
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders
  • Strong writing skills for creating reports, correspondence and other documentation
  • Online shipping, tracking and receiving experience utilizing FedEx, UPS, Purolator and DHL
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
  • Familiarity with inventory management software, supply chain management (SCM) software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and/or material requirements planning (MRP) software
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures
  • Previous experience with a computerized inventory system and automated handling equipment
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office software suites, specifically excel
  • Working experience in Shipping and Receiving role preferred
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of filling out waybills and bills of landing and international shipments
  • Working knowledge of safe packing methods
  • Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Experience in 5S program is an asset

Position: Shipper & Receiver

Reporting To: Warehouse Manager
 

Job Summary:

This position requires the successful candidate to work with the warehouse team to receive, store, retrieve and distribute finished products and parts, including receiving, logging and labeling incoming shipments, matching shipments against purchase orders and pick lists, picking and packing shipments, picking parts for requisitions from manufacturing and product service, and tracing the status of shipments.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To record and receive all incoming goods
  • To pick orders when orders come from customer service, Technical Service, or Production
  • To check and pack orders
  • To store and rotate stock as needed
  • To dispatch and complete bills of lading for shipping
  • To perform pick-up and deliveries when needed
  • To maintain a clean and tidy work area and perform general housekeeping throughout the warehouse on a daily basis
